Instructional coaching has become an increasingly popular approach to teacher professional development. Rather than relying on occasional training days or generic CPD sessions, coaching offers teachers the opportunity to reflect on their classroom practice, receive focused feedback and make small, manageable improvements.
Yet many schools discover that establishing a coaching programme is considerably easier than keeping it going.
The challenge is rarely a lack of enthusiasm. More often, it’s finding the time, resources and expertise to make coaching a consistent part of school life.
