The Role
They are seeking an inspirational and dedicated Teacher of English to join theirsuccessful English Department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for language and literature, excellent subject knowledge, and the ability to inspire students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
• Teach engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly Key Stage 5).
• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
• Assess, record, and report on students’ progress and attainment.
• Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources.
• Support the school’s literacy initiatives and enrichment activities.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Participate fully in the wider life of the school.

Person Specification
Essential:
• A degree in English or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English language and literature.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to high expectations and continuous improvement.
Desirable:
• Experience teaching English at GCSE or A Level.
• A willingness to contribute to extracurricular and enrichment activities.
