The SEN team at Strategy Education are looking for 3 support staff to work in a small SEND school in Guildford Surrey.
The school is a through school for students aged between 3-19 years.
All of the students have an EHCP for Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) or Autism. The school has a nursery section where they cater for children from the age of two and an assessment nursery for children who do not yet have a statement for their special educational needs.
The senior leadership are very supportive and offer plenty of CPD and there is an opportunity for this role to become permanent for the right candidate

Responsibilities
• To support the class teacher either 1:1 or with very small groups
• Record keeping of pupil’s progress
• Work within a multi team of professionals
• Assist with all classroom activities.

Experience and Knowledge
• Experience of working with students with special needs
• Experience of managing behaviour in a positive way
• The ability to tailor the work to the students needs
• Good communication skills
• A real team player
• Reliable and resilient
