Strategy Education are looking for learning support staff for temp to perm roles starting on 11th November for a school close to Watford and St Albans, you will be working with children and FE students who are on the Autistic Spectrum.

You will need special needs experience and good behaviour management.
With your understanding of Autism you could help young people reach their full potential and you will be working either with small groups or 1:1 in the classroom.

You will need to be a reflective practitioner with – Excellent knowledge of the needs of SEN children and how best to support them.
Relevant training in SEN needs is desirable but not essential.
Some knowledge about a range of interventions and their impact on meeting the needs of children with an EHCP

Proven abilities in supporting pupils with Autism and behavioural difficulties

Experience of de-escalation techniques, Picture Exchange Communication (PECS) and Makaton would be a distinct advantage but not necessary.

We have roles across all year groups and these roles are for an immediate start and are ongoing contracts with the chance of becoming permanent.
