Due to internal promotions, the executive principle will be looking to appoint a Head of Science to lead this growing department from September 2019. There is flexibility within the department and therefore applicants who have a background in any area of Science are welcome to apply.
You may not have previous leadership experience but you will be required to work collaboratively with other staff members, providing clear, concise and direct guidance and backup when required. You will also take responsibility for contributing to the development of the curriculum and ensuring effective and consistent assessment methods are followed. You will take the responsibility of feeding data back to SLT within the Academy.
The successful candidate will hold relevant qualifications and have a significant, proven background of working in line with National Curriculum standards.

The successful candidate will be subject to a variety of checks including, eligibility to work in the UK an enhanced DBS and full references including one from your most recent teaching placement.
