For this particular role of English Lead and KS2 Phase Leader, you would be required to:
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of the Academy Improvement Plan linked with the SEF particularly with reference to their phase and areas of learning.
• Communicate effectively the long-, medium- and short-term objectives for the SIP
• Monitor, evaluate and review school and Trust policies and practices taking account of national, local and school data and inspection and research findings.
• Be responsible for cross phase liaison including home / school links.
• Carry out any other duties which might reasonably be requested by the Headteacher to ensure the smooth running of the school.
• Proven high expectations of children’s attainment and progress.
• Experience of effectively leading a subject area and having whole school impact.
• Experience of leading a whole school initiative and leading staff training.
• Evidence of commitment to own continuing professional development.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good people management skills.
• Good level of ICT literacy.
• Ability to think creatively and imaginatively.
• Understanding of effective teaching strategies and teaching styles.
• An effective role model for your team in terms of teaching, behaviour management and classroom management.
• Provide two references, one including your current employer and the other from the past 3 year
• Have an Enhanced DBS Certificate on the update service
