Strategy Education are delighted to be working with an outstanding academy trust who have schools in East London and Essex. One of their East London Schools is looking for an ECT of Business Studies to join them from September 2021.

The successful candidate will be required to teach Business Studies through key stages 4 and 5 with a real emphasis on learning being fun, interactive and visual. Business Studies is a popular subject across the school with a good uptake at key stage 5 where both A Level and BTEC are offered. Economics is also taught a key stage 5 and the ability to teach this alongside Business Studies would be desirable through not essential for application.

You would be part of a strong, supportive department who believe that every student should have equal access to the learning objectives and the wider curriculum. Students who choose Business Studies will learn skills which they will go on to utilise and communicate in the real world.

The Trust provides an extensive, proven ECT induction programme and opportunities for CPD for more experienced candidates and there are opportunities for rapid career progression within the trust. The appointment will be on a permanent basis and you will be paid in line with Teachers Pay and conditions; scale point may be negotiable.

The successful candidate will hold a good, relevant undergraduate degree and will be working towards gaining either QTS or QTLS. You will be subject to a variety of checks including, eligibility to work in the UK an enhanced DBS. Full references will be required including one from your university mentor and one from your most recent teaching placement.
