Strategy Education are working with a school in the borough of Southwark who are looking for a 2nd in charge in their English department
The main purpose of this role is:

To deputise for the Subject Coordinator
To be accountable for student progress and development throughout an agreed key stage in English, including meeting agreed student achievement targets
To assist the subject leader to ensure high standards of teaching and learning across English
To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated English curriculum for students in the agreed key stage
To ensure that all academy policies and procedures are implemented and applied consistently by all staff in English
To assist the Subject Coordinator to ensure agreed tutor programme is implemented and that tutors are effective in their role
To assist the Subject Coordinator to effectively and efficiently manage and deploy teaching/support staff, financial and physical resources across English
To assist the Subject Coordinator to lead development for literacy, through the WORD strategy, within English, to raise standards of Literacy across the academy
